GIMC PERMIT APPLICATION

The Georgia Intrastate Permit Application can now be processed through the Federal Applications Processor for commerical motor vehicles (CMVs) 10,000 pounds or more engaged in intrastate commerce within the Georgia state lines.


GIMC Permit Deadline: December 31st (annually).

*After Dec. 31 additional minimum of $30 per vehicle will be charged.

GIMC REGISTRATION EXPLAINED


The following entities are subject to the Georgia Intrastate Motor Carrier - GIMC - registation: commercial carriers, brokers, freight forwarders, and leasing companies which operate within the state of Georgia boundaries. These entities must register prior to December 31 with GIMC in order to avoid late penalty fee. It is required to be obtained by all Commercial Motor Vehicle (CMV) owners and operators with the declared GVWR equal to 10,000 engaged in an Intrastate, For-Hire commerce in Georgia.
