Georgia Intrastate MOTOR CARRIER (GIMC)

GENERAL INFORMATION

The Georgia Intrastate Motor Carrier (GIMC) is a state-mandated registration program for commercial carriers, brokers, freight forwarders, and leasing companies which are required to register their companies annually with the Georgia Department of Public Safety. GIMC is applicable only to INTRAstate entities. The state of Georgia requires that each entity registers prior to December 31st annually in order to avoid late penalties.

For the INTERstate entities, that is those who operate from state to state, a requirement to register and pay the UCR annually is required.

You may file the UCR by visiting ucrportal.us
