The Georgia Intrastate Motor Carrier (GIMC) is a state-mandated registration program for commercial carriers, brokers, freight forwarders, and leasing companies which are required to register their companies annually with the Georgia Department of Public Safety. GIMC is applicable only to INTRAstate entities. The state of Georgia requires that each entity registers prior to December 31st, 2019 in order to avoid late penalty per vehicle.
For the INTERstate entities, that is those who operate from state to state, a requirement to register under the UCR is mandated.
